Results now in. It is a tradition at Pollok that in return for donating very expensive prizes, the Captain and VC decide on the format of the Competition and recently there has been a move to the ever popular Texas Scramble.
The updated sign-up sheets for the morning and afternoon shotgun competitions are attached- there are a few slots still available for both.
The morning and afternoon shotguns are full with a waiting list in place for both and as advised in the previous email, places will only be confirmed once payment has been made.
Based on the recent update from the Scottish Government and advice from Scottish Golf, a number of changes will be made to the way we operate both on the Course and in the Clubhouse effective from first thing on Monday 19th July 2021.
Your committee is progressing rapidly with the recruitment of a new General Manager for our Club.
As you will know, there is unlikely to be any change to the current restrictions until 17th July.
Hector & Harriet have come to the end of their contract with the Club and have decided to pursue their business interests elsewhere.
Glenn Johnston and three colleagues will be attempting the Longest Day Charity Challenge at the Club on Sunday 20th June in aid of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
For the last year or so, COVID restrictions have enforced the suspension of much of our Dress Code, however with the re-opening of the clubhouse, locker rooms and showers the Committee believes that the time is right to begin to reclaim something which is a source of pride to Pollok Members.
On the 23rd and 24th June, Pollok hosts its own inaugural Open for elite Juniors.
